The Process
At Weller Green we believe in transparency and clarity from start to finish. Our comprehensive in-house process ensures that every aspect of your window or door installation is handled with precision and care.
Below, you will find a detailed breakdown of each step, from initial contact to final inspection. We outline what to expect and how we prepare to meet your specific needs, ensuring a seamless and satisfactory experience.
1
Get In Touch
a) Request a Quote
Begin by submitting images and measurements of your windows or doors using the link below. Our team will promptly review your details and provide you with an initial estimated quote, which is subject to adjustments following a detailed survey.
If the estimate meets your expectations, you can then book a survey appointment. This allows us to take precise measurements and finalise your quote accurately.
b) Direct Survey Option
Prefer to start with a direct consultation? You can skip the initial estimate and book a free survey. During this visit, one of our experienced surveyors will discuss your specific needs in detail, answer any questions, and provide you with an exact quote.
2
Confirming Your Order
Upon deciding to proceed with us, a 50% deposit will be required. We will then conduct a final survey to ensure all your requirements are met. This stage also includes confirming your choice of ironmongery, paint colour, the start date, and the duration of the work.
3
Manufacturing
We will begin the manufacture of your windows or doors in our North London workshop.
4
Schedule Of Work Confirmation
We will contact you one week prior to the survey to provide a detailed schedule of the work, including the order in which each room will be addressed and the expected duration for each. We will also confirm the names of the fitters assigned to carry out your installation.
5
Installation
Our fitters will commence the installation on the agreed date. They typically arrive between 8-9 AM and finish between 4-5 PM. To prepare for their arrival, we kindly recommend removing any fabric materials or blankets from the work area to prevent dust accumulation. Our team will take care to cover furniture and floors with dust sheets and will clean and vacuum at the end of each day.
6
Completion
Upon completion, our fitters will ask you to inspect the installation to ensure your satisfaction. Following this, we will send your guarantee documents, maintenance information, and the final invoice, which is payable on the day the installation is completed.
7
Fensa Registration
As FENSA-registered installers, we are part of a UK government-approved scheme specifically designed for window and door installers. When you choose us for a full replacement service, your new windows and doors will be eligible for registration with FENSA. After your installation is complete, we will handle the registration process for you. You will then receive a letter from FENSA in the post, which includes their guarantee, ensuring your installation complies with building regulations along with an insurance backed warranty.
